Outside the Wire (2021)
2.5/5
Outside the Wire is one of those movies you forget a minute after watching. That’s not to say it is a bad movie, just unremarkable.
An Air Force drone pilot gets reassigned to the suck after doing what he believes was the right thing. His commanding officer is prototype AI/cyborg/whatever. There is a lot of blowy-uppy scenes, some kickass fight scenes, and a lot of heavy handed, poorly written dialogue. If you’re going to make a movie like this, don’t take yourself so seriously.
In the end our little Airman That Could has to decide whether to save the world from the wannabe Thanos robot man, or, I dunno, not I suppose.
If you skip this movie you won’t really miss anything you haven’t seen better in other places. If you watch it you’ll have fun with the action and blowing up of all the things.
This is a very okay movie.

Well said! I had passed on writing a review for this one because it left no impression on me whatsoever, and as such, I didn’t really know what to say about it. “One of those movies you forget a minute after watching” are the words I was looking for, but couldn’t find.
